The panels wake up before you do.
Kettle, lunches, the school run. Early sun covers part of the morning load and the grid tops up the rest.
Sixty minutes with an East Coast Energy specialist. You leave knowing what your bill is made of, what solar or a battery would change for your home, and the price, in writing. Then the decision is yours.
If one of these sounds like yours, the session is built for you. If none do, the check below will tell you that too.
We look at what you use, when you use it and what your roof can carry, then show the system that fits rather than the biggest one we could sell.
Whether you had it installed or it came with the house, we check how it is performing and whether a battery would let you use more of your own power.
Backup has to be designed in. We explain exactly what a battery could keep running for you, and what it would not.
New loads change the maths. We size around the way your household runs now and how it is likely to change.
Solar makes power while the sun is up. Most households use the most power after it goes down. A battery closes that gap. Here is what a typical day looks like with a system designed for your home.
Kettle, lunches, the school run. Early sun covers part of the morning load and the grid tops up the rest.
The house runs on solar and the extra charges the battery. Anything left over is exported to the grid.
Cooking, lights, air conditioning, the television. This is when grid power usually costs most, and when stored solar is worth most to you.
How far into the night depends on the battery size and what is switched on. We model this from your own bill, not an average household.
Savings depend on your usage, your tariff, the system size, your roof and when you use power. Your session uses your figures and shows every assumption.
Ryan Quinlivan and Chris Kennedy were on roofs long before they ran a company. They have seen the industry at its best and its worst, and built East Coast Energy around the parts that matter after the salesperson leaves.
The people who design your system work alongside the crews who install it. We install what we sell with our own team, not subcontractors, and when you need help later you are talking to the same business.

Ryan, Chris and the team did a fantastic 40kw install for an important client in Mt Tambourine. East Coast Energy Co will be my preferred installers moving forward. Cheers team!

They tell your specialist what matters before they arrive, so the hour is spent on your home rather than on forms.
Usage, tariff, supply charges and when you use power. Bring a recent bill if you have one.
Orientation, shading, space and what your electrical setup can support.
Solar, a battery, both, or neither. With the reasons, the figures and any rebate that applies.
A designed proposal with pricing. Whether you go ahead, and when, is your decision.
About 60 minutes, at your home. Weekday evenings and Saturdays are available in most areas.
If yours is not here, ask it in the session. A good answer should hold up after the specialist has left.
It depends on how much power you use, when you use it, your tariff, your roof and the system size. That is why the session starts with your bill. In some homes a battery pays its way well. In others, especially in Tasmania, a battery is more about backup and independence than savings, and we will tell you that plainly.
The Cheaper Home Batteries Program reduces the upfront cost of an eligible battery installed by an accredited installer. It is not ending, but the discount steps down every six months, with the next step scheduled for 1 January 2027. Your proposal shows the discount that applies to your system and the date it is based on.
Only if the system is designed and installed for backup. It is not automatic. Most backup setups run selected circuits, such as lights, the fridge and power points, rather than the whole house. We explain what your system would keep running and roughly for how long.
Our own crews install every system we sell. After installation you deal with us for support, monitoring questions and warranty claims, including manufacturer claims, which we manage for you.
Yes. We check how your current system is performing, whether it has faults, and whether a battery or an upgrade would let you use more of your own power. Sometimes the answer is a service, not a new system.
Some pay outright and some use finance through our partners. Terms vary, so your proposal shows the full price and, if you choose finance, the full repayment terms in writing before you decide.
It is a consultation with a specialist who will make a recommendation and give you a price. You will understand your bill and your options either way. Going ahead, and when, is your decision.
Skip the questions and choose a time, or call us and we will find one together.
